So, I just got home to find out that due to the parade tomorrow, I don’t have a place to park near my apt. I think closing down parking in the area is fine, don’t get me wrong, but for the residents here it makes life a little rough. Not everybody has the ability to have off street parking.

Sorry for the incovenience.I think I can remember watching the then-Hi-Yu parade since I was around 10 or so.I’m almost 60-so it’s been a part of West Seattle for a long time. What could the organizers do to make it easier for you-& all the other people in the surrounding neighborhoods that are likewise impacted?Should the residents be able to get a special pass to allow them to park-what about residents that have more than one vehicle?I’m sure it’s a pain-but it’s once a year-it encouages community support & it’s fun(well formost of us anyway)!

Sorry, comment time is over.
