Ready for another restaurant?

A new liquor-license application just landed on the state’s site for “Spring Hill,” seeking a restaurant/lounge permit for the ex-In Bloom spot on the north side of The Junction. (Side note, according to the semi-official Junction history page, the business district “is built on a swamp originally known as Spring Hill Pond.”)

Interesting idea….merge a strip club with Guppy’s and call it Lumpys!

For the record I wrestled with the whole strip club vote. I’m against the government telling a non-food business how they should run their business (4 ft rule), but I am a Seattle property owner and would be very pissed if they put one in Westwood Village since they would instantly lower my property value. Since I don’t own a strip club, but I do own property I voted to regulate them (NO vote).

Normally I don’t side like that, but I do have a vested interest in Seattle property value. Now I’m heading down to the Pink Pony.

No Guppy’s. I’m not gay. We need more chicks.

    I miss Bearaoke at Guppy’s!

Also, the Junction is getting a little restaurant heavy – I’d like a to see couple of new shops open up. It would be cool if they had a butcher or a produce market to go with the seafood and the new fancy-schmancy bakery opening in the old Borrachini space…

Sorry, comment time is over.
