This is the church formerly known as Gatewood Baptist, which used to be in the building now owned by Seattle International, and then bought the 35th/Cloverdale building that previously belonged to Calvary Lutheran. It’s had a “Life Church Ministries Coming Soon” banner up for months, till now:

Personally I follow the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (http://www.venganza.org/), but there are a lot of churches because even within one religion, no one agrees on the rules.
What is Christianity? Catholics don’t agree with the Baptists, who are sinners to the Amish, who don’t agree with the Mormons, who are looked down on by the Lutherans, and don’t even get started on the Universalists.
This is why the whole Islam is trying to take over the west argument is retarded. As we see in Iraq, there’s just as likely to kill each other as “the west”. There isn’t a single “Islam” anymore than there is “Christianity”. There are LOTS of Islamic groups…some followed half heartedly, some passionately. Some are orthodox some are liberal. Islam or Christianity is just a vague description that covers a huge pile of entirely conflicting organizations. Even in the same BRANCH of a religion there is differences. In Seattle the First Baptists marched in the gay pride parade, but I’m guessing most other Baptists wouldn’t agree with that.
So most religion in fractured and consumed with infighting…like whether you have to eat toast with your left hand while spinning clockwise on the Sabbath, or with your right hand while spinning counter on a Tuesday…or some other similarly goofy human created distinction.

These posts about churches usually bring up strong attitudes about Christians. What about Jesus? Where does he fit in?
Because Jesus is Lord. Just mentioning His name or christianity it strikes a nerve in a lot of people. We all have things (sins) we dont want exposed but some how when His name is mentioned there is power and we are naked and guilty before a holy God..otherwise people wouldnt bother reacting the way they do and having outbursts in which they feel the need to slam the faith of Christians and their belief in Jesus. They are really just fighting with themselves trying to convice themselves that He is not real just to ease their conscience for a little while. I mean you gotta admit theres power in the name…or else why do we hear “Jesus Christ” in movies…never do we hear..”Oh Buddah”..theres Power in the name!!
theres power to be saved from your sin and from yourself if you just call on His name…But if not there will be judgement
