UPDATE: Van flips on westbound bridge’s Delridge offramp

3:35 PM: Big Seattle Fire and Police response headed right now for a crash reported on the Delridge offramp from the westbound West Seattle Bridge. It was originally reported as a potential “heavy rescue” situation but is being scaled back. We’re on the way to see what we can find out.

3:46 PM: Overturned van, according to Jen in comments and Chris via the photo we’ve just added. No word yet on injuries. SDOT says the ramp is blocked right now so the van can be towed.

4:21 PM: Even before the van was to be towed, Chris said, traffic was getting around. We’ve added a photo sent by our crew.

4:32 PM: Metro says this has rerouted buses on Routes 50, 120, 125. If you’re headed that way, use stops south of Genesee TFN.

4:52 PM: SDOT says the ramp is now clear. (And, two minutes later, Metro says its buses on Delridge are back to normal routes.)

Just drove by – overturned mini-van. 2 people outside of van. Hopefully everyone got out!

Delridge exit is currently closed. Traffic must continue westbound to next exits.

That looks like it’s just past the spot that’s slicker than snot leading into the turn, and then there’s a bump in the road there between the pavement panels too. I’ve lost traction a couple times there if I hit it juuuust right. I’ve learned t slow WAY down there as a result.

seems exit may be open (re comment at 3:54- but then Chris (via WSB) says traffic getting around)? I haven’t gotten a Metro alert about 120/ 125 re-routing…

They’ve since sent one, for routes 50, 120, 125. Going northbound.

going northbound? but aren’t the southbound buses using the Delridge off ramp? Still haven’t gotten an email from them, maybe they don’t use email anymore? weird

Metro’s alert actually said WESTBOUND Delridge, which doesn’t exist. I’ve taken the directional word out completely till I get a reply.
