So many people have emailed/texted about that mystery carving seen off a Lincoln Park trail, we finally have to just ask if anyone has a clue about its origins. Some who contacted us thought it was just a curiosity-piquing mystery; some feared it’s a case of stolen-and-dumped. We haven’t seen it in person ourselves, but we’re told it’s freestanding (or leaning, in the most recent report).
Yes! I saw this a couple weeks ago and took a picture. The day before I attended the “Mind of the Serial Killer” exhibit. So of course I assumed there were bodies buried under it. 
I saw this laying washed up on the beach in Lincoln park mid point between the pool and north end a couple of weeks ago early morning. Gone the next day.
We saw it while walking along the beach in Lincoln Park on July 14th, was super curious about the origins!
