Sounded like 10 rapid gunshots, then 2-3 regular followed by another 5-6 rapid. Heard them down by Wildwood. Thanks for always being on top of things Tracy!

My daughter and I heard it and it was terrifying. Sounded like 20 fast shots. I did call 911, thinking better to do so even if I was wrong (not a gunshot expert and hard to tell if fireworks sometimes).

And thank you to SPD for being quick to respond and diligent in your investigation. Stay safe out there! 🙏

My camera captured the audio of the shots. I’m at Roxbury and 42nd Ave SW. At least 20. 00:22 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L3AFWVTWr2m0hi6iGn8kGBzXrKsNfAGI

Definitely sounds like at least 2 different calibers being fired. Sad what WS is becoming

I was in my backyard off of 35th in Arroyo Heights and heard what I thought was fireworks. Then realized it was gunshots. Then just heard more about 10 minutes ago. What’s going on??

Sounds like maybe some kind of shootout sadly. Definitely at least 2 different caliber weapons being fired.

So scary. Glad no one was hurt.

It might be time to do something.

Happened on my block and woke up to it! Neighbor window!

So sorry to see that. Very scary. My dining room window was broken by a stray bullet from the shooting close by early on the snowy morning of March 13th.

Someone’s ring camera must’ve been able to catch the car on video and get license plate?

  • catmanmancat April 9, 2026 (1:40 pm)

House sitting for a neighbor, their window took a hit and a bullet ruined some inside property. Spoke with the police when they came to review evidence and they said they recovered 78 casings last night. Lots of footage of the whole thing, but even a 4K camera with night-vision can’t capture a license plate of a speeding vehicle.

Was it one person shooting or two?

  • 1994 April 9, 2026 (9:42 pm)

I woke up at 12:21 AM to the sounds of the gunfire. I am further south from 35th & Roxbury over by pottery shop on SW 100th….. but the sound was LOUD and rapid fire. The SDoT traffic cams did not capture an image of the cars? Time to turn on the cameras! This stupid behavior needs some consequences.

Sorry, comment time is over.
