Stacie reports someone shattered her car’s window by firing a BB gun at it, and she says others along her street were hit too:
Our car’s driver-side window was shot at by BB gun sometime overnight 12-12 or early morning 12-13. Wanted to warn the community. We are on 16th Ave SW just south of the college. There were other vehicles hit on 16th Sze that we noticed earlier tonight.
We’ll add the SPD report # when we get it.
BB guns were stolen during a robbery at Big 5 Sporting Goods in WWV a few days ago.
Just a hunch, but I don’t think people are going to commit a felony just to vandalize cars when there are rocks lying about that will accomplish the same thing.
I dunno… if I had just stolen a grip of BB guns I’d probably be itching to use them on something.
I think you give these felonious idiots too much credit on intelligence. If you are willing to commit a felony to steal toys worth less than the average paycheck, you are probably going to do other stupid things. Throwing rocks laying around on the street anyone can pick up does not impress other morons. Driving around in your recently stolen Hyundai and shooting random car windows with your recently stolen BB guns probably does.
This was not a rock thrown, if you zoom in on the picture you can tell it was a BB. I’m not saying this was the same people from the Big 5 incident but it definitely was not a rock. Either way property was damaged and it is costly and time consuming to repair.
What? No they don’t. Not the dirty, unpolished ones you’re finding on the side of the road. If you guys really want to believe someone would plan and execute an A Felony crime in order to commit a misdemeanor, go ahead, but that’s a really weird theory.
Very sorry that happened to you and others. It really messes with your time and money….. such a stupid thing for someone to have done. I’m sure you have enough to do without having to take care of that …and I would imagine not everyone has insurance.. so even more burden on an innocent person. People that did that are pathetic and stupid losers. ;
