The string of garage break-ins in the Admiral/Belvedere area continues. Whitney sent this report and security-camera image.
Early morning of Nov 20, at 3:42 AM, one of the glass panels in our garage door was broken, and a man, driving a Prius, entered and stole a set of golf clubs before opening our garage door and exiting.
Whitney adds that a neighbor’s garage was broken into two weeks ago; that’s close to when we published this previous reader report.
On my walks I have noticed many garage doors with broken windowpanes lately, as in rock thrown through. First thing I thought of was someone is doing this to scope out what’s inside. The areas were north of junction and westside of California ave (with in a few blocks) If this happens to you report to police even though it’s a pain and a lot of not needed bs info asked to detour you…….but it needs to be recorded;)
The criminal is selling your stolen items on marketplace as David Weight! Police will go with you to catch him. He has your skis, golf clubs, tools, and bikes.

Reminder that if your house is accessible from the garage, to lock your inside house door.
Probably the same guy I saw in a dark blue Prius prowling & took off southbound on 35th. When he saw me on the cellphone (to SPD). All SPD said was “don’t follow him”. That’s it. I’ve seen him before around 4am. I give up.
Someone must know him. What a great photo. He’ll probably stay out of public view for a long time, but I feel his name will be announced soon.
This guy also broke into 2 houses in our neighborhood. Same thing, broke the glass panel. Luckily wasn’t able to steal anything but frustrating this keeps happening!
This looks like the same guy who did this to our garage as well as our neighbor’s. He is a well known bike (and other garage items) thief. SPD has all the information on this guy, and they are doing nothing.
The still image’s exposure and clarity need to be fixed which would result in a perfect WANTED poster to be published and printed.
Below is the guy who broke into our garage and stole a bike last April. Same method, same area. Doesn’t look like the same person, not sure.
Same guy broke into our garage on Monday in North Admiral. He’s even wearing the same sweater as the guy in the daylight photo!
