BIZNOTE FOLLOWUP: Ex-Alki Cafe space now for lease

Four months after eviction forced the sudden shutdown of Alki Café (2726 Alki Avenue SW), it’s finally posted for lease. Checking out the beach area this morning for the first time in several days, we noticed the window signage. So far, though, we haven’t found an online listing, so we have an inquiry out to the leasing entity, Pacific Crest Real Estate, in hopes of details.

That would be a great spot for a pizza place!

Actually I think we need more bubble tea on Alki, so can the pizza place sell bubble tea too?

The sign specifically says RETAIL space for lease. (personally I was hoping Dukes restaurant could locate there)  rumor is that it is already leased.

“Retail” could mean “restaurant.” I believe it’s just to make it clear the opportunity is for the ground-floor commercial space, not the residential space above.

Alki area needs a mini mart. I say convert it into a mini mart convenience store. So those who are at the beach in the spring & summer can get ice, drinks, coolers & snacks for their beach bbq’s.

We had a good sized market at 63rd and Alki. Because they couldn’t compete on price not enough people shopped there to keep them in business.

What we really need is a pizza place that sells bubble tea, vapes and has an arcade.

How about a wellness night tea lounge with holistic wellness classes, youth programs and collaborative apothecary 😉??

Sorry, comment time is over.
