For the second time this afternoon, a crash is under investigation involving a car and school bus. This time it’s at (updated) 4th/Roxbury and we’re told traffic is “a mess” as a result. This one’s being investigated by King County Sheriff’s Deputies so we don’t have as much info as we would if it were in the city limits, but Metro has issued a bus reroute alert.
Will update. County doesn’t do realtime logs but I do believe in retrospect that’s what SPD initially checked out. Thanks.
Traffic coming up the hill is terrible; eastbound lanes were closed. Looks like an SUV ran right into it, judging by the totally crumpled hood and position relative to the bus I’d guess it was turning left/east onto Roxbury
We don’t understand how you can turn “left/east onto Roxbury” at 4th/Roxbury. That can be done at 8th/Roxbury.
The collision was actually between 4th and 8th. Guessing they’re talking about someone trying to make a left from 5th or 6th (can’t remember which streets go through in that spot).
I live in the area. I have pictures I can send if need be. It was at 5th and Roxbury and the vehicle looks like it was making a turn. At least I was told that’s what happened. I did not see it happen so not sure. I did see one person taken away and that person was walking on their own. Maybe they went to the hospital just for precautions.
