ORCAS: Sunday whale-watching

Just texted by Kersti Muul – orcas are southbound off Restoration Point (which is on Bainbridge Island directly across the Sound from the mouth of Elliott Bay). Let us know if you see them!

Good luck, I hope you get to see them! Orcas are absolutely amazing!! I (worked on fishing boats/marine background, first came to Seattle after college in 2009, have seen lots of whales) was amazed when my partner who has lived here since he was 2 said he’s never seen a whale! My mission this year is to get him to see whales! So we greatly appreciate these WSB posts and updates. We haven’t caught them yet but we will!! Good luck!

How do I get back on your message board? For some reason I don’t get any alerts anymore. Thanks, Michele

We happened to be on the Southworth ferry coming into Fauntleroy when we spotted them. Fortunately had a pair of binoculars with us too! Such a cool sight.

Sorry, comment time is over.
