Brown water in North Admiral

If you’re noticing brown water in North Admiral, you’re not alone. One resident we’ve heard from has called the Seattle Public Utilities number for reporting problems 24/7 – 206-386=1800 – and was told others had reported it, and that the problem was apparently related to construction in the area. Water discoloration is most often the result of sediment stirring up in the line – primarily rust.

What is the block affected?  I have not noticed it on 48 north of Admiral.

Also in N. Admiral area near California Ave SW & SW Massachusetts St. also with brown tap water especially when it’s running cold. Hopefully it clears up soon and is safe to do laundry tonight? I called to report it as well and they stated it may be due to construction or Seattle Fire using a nearby hydrant but that it’s treated and safe to drink, I’ll wait til it’s 100% clear before consuming it though personally.
