WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Package-theft alert

Heads up if you’re expecting a delivery. A resident in Belvidere emailed with porch-camera video of a package thief (frame-grab above): “This package was dropped off 30 minutes before it was stolen… 12:48 pm today.” Note the video also shows the getaway car.

Or they’ve lived in Seattle long enough to know there are very few repercussions to their criminal activity, even if they are caught with a car full of stolen items, illegal drugs and guns and have been arrested 30 times in the past year.

I know it’s not always applicable but when you can, consider using the Amazon lockers. Easy, convenient, and your stuff won’t get stolen. Is it a solution? Of course not but it’s better than having stuff stolen. Sure, it may feel like the crooks have ‘won’, or maybe you don’t want to support Amazon, or you have mobility issues, just saying it has been a solution for me many times.
