NEED FOOD? Highland Park Elementary drive-up event Friday

Hunger-fighting help continues to be available from various sources. At Highland Park Elementary, family-support worker Dominique Pie is organizing another drive-up/walk-up/ride-up food-box distribution event. It’ll be outside the school at 1012 SW Trenton this Friday (April 2nd), 2 pm-5 pm. All welcome, first-come, first-served – don’t forget your mask! This event is co-sponsored by Together Washington.

This is where my wife and I walk most mornings. Just before Christmas, the pathway had been poured (concrete) and I asked a work person when would it be open, “In about one week!”Then a few weeks later, unopened, they were digging up the “paved” walkway starting at both ends, only the middle section was left untouched. The reason for the “digging-up” I was told, was due to the grade was wrong at either end, too steep for walkers/wheelchairs! (Government!?!). The sidewalk has been sitting as is for weeks! One side had some “forming”, the other side still needs to be “formed” before pouring.
Another example, “Does anyone care about West Seattle?”

Sorry, comment time is over.
