West Seattle restaurants: Zaw Pizza says goodbye

Thanks to Andrea for the tip about a sign on the door at Zaw Pizza announcing its closure – we went over to check, and that indeed is what we found, as you can see above. The take-and-bake pizza shop opened its West Seattle location in the 35th/Fauntleroy strip mall in October 2013.

Good pizza, not a terribly convenient location: good luck finding a new place- I will come back!

bummer!  For take and bake, I really liked their pizza and they have great salads.  I ordered their date night special at least once a month.  I hope they come back to West Seattle.

Very sad – love their pizza!  The best take and bake in town.  Now where will we go?  I agree the location was not the most convenient. I hope they find a new place, soon!

I hope they can find something in a better location!

I didn’t even know they were there.

The city really needs to install a “no left turn” sign across from the 35th access driveway to the stores. One car in heavy traffic can hold up multiple lights when cars are backed up in both directions, thus blocking said driveway. Hard to explain, but those affected will know what I’m saying. I’ve reached out to the city a few times, but understandably, it isn’t a priority.

I totally get it, and definitely agree. Would love to see this on the block and the block between Fauntleroy and Avalon (for mid-block turns).

Ooh I hope they come down to White Center! So many good storefronts down here, ready for new businesses. 16th Street is… dare I say becoming trendy?? Judging by the parking, this is apparently the place to be!

Zaw is my absolute favorite take and bake pizza. Nothing else comes close. But that location was awful. Really hoping they come back to West Seattle in a location that is super easy to get to. I know they’ll do well once it’s easy for people to get to them.

Tried them once, paid $30+ for something that tasted on par with a grocery store frozen pizza.  I’d much rather pay $5 for a Trader Joe’s pizza which tastes just about the same or just pay the same price for a Zeek’s delivery pizza.  Looking forward to something better moving into that space.

Bummer! Just got an email from them confirming their closure on 4/28/18. I really loved their pizza! Hope they find an even better space in West Seattle, White Center, or Burien.

This is a bummer – I hope they’re able to find another WS location. Their pizza is my favorite take-and-bake option and their staff was always very friendly and helpful. Best of luck to them finding a location that suits their needs better!

I have wanted to try them, but I could not find any prices on their website. I had heard they were a little pricy but having prices posted would have given me a better feeling about braving the parking and traffic issues. I am at that intersection frequently. Hopefully they will find a place  in West Seattle, White Center, or Burien that allows them to not have to charge so much based on rent and allows for more customers. I also hope they put prices on their website.

The prices ARE on their website. Just click “order now.” You don’t have to complete an order but it shows you the menu with prices.

Sorry, comment time is over.
