Gathering Thurs April 23rd, 7-8:30 pm about upcoming midterm elections:
If you’re feeling concerned about what you’re seeing in the news, learn about ways to take positive action.
We’ll be joined by Common Power, an amazing, inclusive, multi-generational voting rights organization, who will introduce themselves and share concrete ways to get involved—whether you’re brand new to civic engagement or already active and looking for community.
About Common Power: Common Power mobilizes volunteers across the country to get out the vote, because we believe the most common power we should all have is the power of our vote. Through community, education, and investment in next-generation leadership, they work to sustain a democracy that serves us all.
What to Expect: This is a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and connect with friends and neighbors who care about our future. Snacks and beverages provided.
We will discuss:
Concrete Action: How to plug into local and national door-knocking opportunities.
Support Roles: How you can support others to door-knock if you aren’t able to go out yourself.
The 2026 Strategy: What Common Power is doing to supplement the movement and win the midterms this year.
Location: 7020 18th Ave SW, Puget Ridge Cohousing. Follow signs to the common house building.RSVP’s to dianehetrick@gmail.com strongly appreciated)
Hope you can join us.
