WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Seen this white Subaru Outback?

In West Seattle Crime Watch, a stolen car to watch for. From Emily and Winn:

Our 2013 white Subaru Outback was stolen from in front of our house on SW Hinds in the Admiral neighborhood overnight. Has Maryland plates (02141CF) and a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker. Please report it immediately to the police if you see it! I have reported this information to the police. Thank you!

SIDE NOTE: Citywide, through last week’s SeaStat update, 2,813 vehicle thefts have been reported so far this year – and that’s a 10 percent drop from the same period last year.

    Sorry about your Suburu!

Ours was stolen about a month ago, from inside a locked garage on Alki Ave. SW near Beach Dr.  in the middle of the night sometime.

It was a 2002 Suburu Outback, and we did report it to the police.

It was found 24 hours later somewhere in Tukwila, totally stripped — dashboard and all.

I write this to warn Suburu owners,  and to suggest investing in one of those steering wheel locks.  Seems like  (for  older Suburus at least) the sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

I sincerely hope you find your car whole; soon.

Not sure if this is the same car, but there is an abandoned Subaru (?) in front of the Swinery ,  3207 California Ave SW.  It was there this morning at 9:00 a.m., it had been ticketed.
