West Seattle Crime Watch: Stolen bicycle; dumped-and-likely-stolen shoes

Two reader reports:

STOLEN BIKE: Rachelle‘s Schwinn Hornet was stolen sometime overnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning: “It was stolen from my place at 54th and Alki. It’s a black and white beach cruiser style bike, with a black and white seat.”

STOLEN SHOES? Cass just e-mailed to say, “We found a bag of shoes dumped in our front yard near 35th SW & SW Roxbury this morning. I wanted to let you know in case they were stolen and someone is looking to get them back … We’ll keep the shoes for a couple days.”

If you have info on either of the above, please comment below (or e-mail us).

The other day going home from work I had to make a detour (accident or something) but anyways I went south on Myers Way and by the sand-pit area where all those RV park there was a ton of bicycles stacked up on each other…maybe that’s where all the stolen bikes are ending up???

Most of the reports we get are bicycles abandoned in neighborhoods, and police say they’re generally used to get from one crime scene to another, as with stolen cars.

I found a blk purse at taco bell in the bushes in white center, I informed staff. I was informed it was stolen and a report filed. I was surprised to see people walking by and not informed staff. Step up do the right thing. Very disappointed everyone complaining but doesn’t step up to plate….

Sorry, comment time is over.
