About the police responses on and beneath the West Seattle Bridge

Another death under investigation right now in West Seattle – under the West Seattle Bridge, apparently someone who died by suicide. Police were still in the right lane on the eastbound bridge as of a few minutes ago, with a vehicle believed to have been related to the incident.

That’s all we know right now but as we always mention in relation to cases of suicide, if you or someone you know is considering self-harm, the Crisis Clinic is one of the resources available to help 24/7 – 206-461-3222.

Well thankfully you’re still here!  Life can absolutely be hard but there’s always hope.  May not seem like it but there really is. :)  I have a quote on my desk that keeps me going, “If Britney Spears can get through 2007, you can get through today”.   Hope you have a Great rest of the week!

I saw the police car behind the unoccupied van just a bit ago as I was driving home and thought maybe the vehicle had broken down.  How sad.  I hope this soul can rest in peace now and prayers go out for the family who must be in shock.

    Do you ever wonder
    Where love goes?
Up there in the ether I suppose
Sometimes it burns enough to leave a trace in the air
The ghost of me and you in a parallel world somewhere
Do you ever think about that walk to the station
And how it all ended then and there
As every door has opened then we vanished in the air
    Into a parallel world somewhere
I know you’ve wondered and I wonder as well
    I’m not a secret that you’ve kept
My heart broke just there once
I know the place it fell
By Piccadilly Station I sat down and wept
Does anyone witness such a disappearance?
One man is just standing in the rain
The air just seems to shiver and you’re never seen again
    Never seen again

Yes, please reach out to someone if you need support.  I and many others I know have struggled with depression and other issues and it can feel really lonely and hopeless from that place, even if it is not.  You are definitely not alone, although a unique person, and we all need to support each other.  Life can be beautifully rewarding , painful, or worse yet, colored grey, and we all need help some time.

Clueless, you have a friend (at least virtually) in me — anyone who can quote Tracy Thorn is alright in my book! I have all of Everything But the Girl! : )

Sorry, comment time is over.
