FOLLOWUP: Your baseball-gear donations are Nicaragua-bound!

That’s Justin Murphy, who collected baseball gear earlier this year to donate to kids in need in Nicaragua, and now it’s delivery time. From Robin Murphy:

Just wanted to thank the community for all its donations to Justin Murphy’s baseball project. We leave next week for Little Corn Island, Nicaragua to distribute the gear; they know we’re coming and they’re very excited! Justin will make a video while we’re down there.

Here’s a map showing the island’s location.

Thank you for your contribution to Nicaragua’s children.

Nicaragua just made history, wining its first bronze in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan. Below a report from La Prensa, the Nicaraguan Newspaper:

do you want some baseballs and pail? It’s about 25 or so balls with one of those Rawlings pails that doubles as a stool? The balls are very clean, used mostly for pitching practice (no hitters). Email me at jramels(at)comcast(dot)net.

Are they still accepting donations, and if so, where can I drop them off?
