Did your contact happen to mention how s/he knows they’re transients? Saw them from a distance from Lincoln Park, milling around off Alki – heading up there now, although they’re probably long past…
A couple of weeks ago while fishing around Jefferson Head, saw porpoises, seals, sea lions, a river otter, and two very impressive humpback whales. Lots of marine mammals out there pretty much every day.
Which is awesome. And that’s why we report it – we don’t want to ever get to the point where we take it all for granted. – TR
Shoot – so sorry to miss this sighting! And a big thumbs up to WSB for not taking this for granted. PNW marine wildlife is awesome, indeed!
Sorry, comment time is over.
