That’s one of our holdover photos from last weekend’s West Seattle Summer Fest – chickens at the Sustainable West Seattle-presented GreenLife zone – and yes, they have a role in what’s happening tonight!

    I watched those two peck away at a corn cob at Summerfest last weekend, and was impressed at how there was no competition between them. They simply shared, and if one couldn’t take a peck at it for a couple seconds, she just patiently waited until the opportunity arose again.

    I think seagulls could benefit from some lessons on “table manners” from chickens! ;-)
