West Seattle Crime Watch: Shots fired, night two

For the second night in a row, someone has fired a gun from a car in West Seattle. Saturday night, a car and home were hit at 20th and Cloverdale, no injuries; Sunday night, again no injuries, and this time no property damage, but Southwest Precinct Lt. Alan Williams confirmed to WSB that spent casings were found after shots were reported to have been heard around 10th SW and SW Elmgrove. Also, he says, whoever did it was nowhere to be found.

I found out from an SPD auto-tweet. The system is time-lagged and usually shows two tweets, two different times, for each call – a reported time and a later time if/when a report is filed – so I don’t know how accurate this is, but the first auto-tweet was just after 8 pm – TR

Ugh, that’s a street near where I grew up, and my parents still live there. Scary stuff. Hope they catch those involved!

I live right next to Linkin Park and I literally just heard 5 gun shots go off and three guys running from the scene. What’s going on West Seattl

We’ve heard a few reports of those. Not confirmed as gunshots yet that we know of – just heard something on the scanner related to this and described as “kids throwing eggs.”
