1 hurt in West Marginal Way crash

Thanks to Mike Scharer for that photo from the scene of a crash in the 4700 block of West Marginal Way this afternoon. The Seattle Fire Department’s 911 log shows a major “automobile rescue” response to the scene a little over an hour and a half ago; Mike says this was the only car involved, and medics transported the man who was driving it. We don’t have any information about his condition. Another WSB’er, JayDee, passed the scene around 3 pm and reported the car was being towed.

Car still not towed as of 4:0 PM, several police cars still on scene, measurements being taken, traffic not blocked.

Thanks, Mrs. B. I’ve seen a crash or two where a tow truck shows up and changes its mind – there was an ugly one out by the low bridge a couple months ago – TR

Not sure of the time when we drove by, but judging by the number of cop cars and the method they were using take measurements this appeared to be a fairly serious accident.

we don’t need speedbumps on that street. I don’t know what the cause of this accident was, so I won’t add commentary on what we do need.
