Update: 3 arrested after West Seattle police help Renton PD

(WSB photo by Patrick Sand)
4:55 PM: Thanks to everyone who’s been texting us about police activity in Highland Park, 18th and Myrtle vicinity. Lt. Pierre Davis explains that “SPD units assisted Renton PD with a stolen vehicle that ended up in our jurisdiction. A high-risk stop was conducted. 3 are in custody.” High-risk stop is when you see police with guns drawn.

5:35 PM: Just added photos. This is barely a block east of Sanislo Elementary, in case you’re trying to place the location:

  • High Speed Chase July 24, 2012 (5:03 pm)

We saw what looked like a high speed chase followed by what sounded like gunfire from our Myrtle home! Quite a lot of action goes on in this intersection, with so many school kids and families crossing!

Cops are underpaid if you ask me. Their chances of dying are a hundred times fold than ours everyday they go to work.

When are these POSs going to evaporate?

Is this the chase I saw going up Highland Parkway around 5? One old nasty looking Honda and three black and white Chargers hot on their tail!

PW – I just added a photo. I believe “old Honda” describes the car in the upper right of the photo (we have closer ones) …

silly car thieves thought they were going to pull over on Kenyon but instead floored it in an attempt of alluding the following three patrol cars, Thanks to the professionalism of the different departments I hope we had no collateral damage to the lives of community

Not that a Honda is a fast car but you can’t outrun Motorola….
    .
What happens in Renton should stay in Renton. LOL.

so that explains why we saw Patrick driving north on 18th. I think that Sanislo is actually in Puget Ridge, not highland park, not that I’m proud these dirtbags ended up in the neighborhood

I took HP out of the headline last night – we originally got calls about police activity in points south that were definitely HP – will check the story, thanks. – TR

“When are these POSs going to evaporate?”

When we stop putting them back on the street. To do it again.

I was home when the kids and I heard the siren, and looked outside of our living room on 11th SW. off of the SW Holden around quarter to 5pm. A car was flying by followed by at least 2, if not, 3 police cars on the totally residential neighborhood. I”m glad they got caught.

Sorry, comment time is over.
