Update: Missing 21-year-old man found safe

3:44 PM SUNDAY: 21-year-old Devan Hammond, reported missing last night, has been found safe. He turned up at a local fitness facility, which had been alerted by his mom to be on the lookout.

Family and friends of 21-year-old Devan Hammond are asking for your help in finding him. He hasn’t been seen since last Wednesday night, though family friend Cheri says he might have been spotted in Highland Park on Thursday. That’s one of three areas where he has been known to hang out; the others, she says, are The Junction near Uptown Espresso and 7-11, and 50th/Andover. Devan is described as 5-11, 160 pounds, brown hair, with a severe burn on his hand; he was last seen wearing jeans, a blue/white/gray ski jacket, and black/brown lace-up low-top shoes. His mother has filed a missing-persons report with police, so please call 911 if you have seen him.

Sorry I scared you the other night at my house you could have stayed the night and you can anytime you want. I can’t sleep you can stop by at anytime. I just wanted to take you to the hospital for your hand it already appears infected and will only get worse. I will sit here or be looking for you until you are found. You don’t know how many people are worried about you just come over here you will be safe just me and you. I dont care if your loaded or not doesnt matter to me Ijust want to take care of your hand and feed you if you are hungry.Please come over or call so we know you are alive and safe. I am sitting here looking at all your pictures and crying. I could only imagine how your mother is doing. Remember Devan we are always on your side no matter what you do.
