ADDED: Game summary and clip, ahead:
From WSB’s Patrick Sand, covering the game at SWAC:
It was a big night for Chief Sealth’s Vinny Chase. The junior running back had three touchdowns that put Sealth on top of Rainier Beach 34-19 Friday night. Sealth was aided by the Vikings’ uneven special-teams play. Their first score of the night came when junior Aaron Knox went untouched on a 45-yard punt return. In the second quarter, Rainier Beach had trouble getting the ball to their punter twice. Both time the Seahawks recovered, and both times Chase went into score on the first play from scrimmage.
Here’s his last touchdown of the night, which came about halfway through the fourth quarter.
Both teams spent some time struggling on defense. Rainier Beach took advantage of a couple of interceptions to set up their scores. With just over two minutes to go in the game, Sealth’s LeeAndre Dickerson picked off a pass and returned it to midfield, which effectively ended Beach’s chances for the night.
