We love Mr Whalen! I am so glad this was published here otherwise my family would have had no idea. Both of my children were lucky enough to have him as a teacher.

We will miss Mr. Whalen. So many fond memories of my daughters 3rd grade year. He is a class-act teacher and he will be missed.

As well as being an outstanding teacher, Mr. Whalen is a very kind and caring individual. I was honored to work with him for many years.

Yes, thank you for posting or we would not have known. Mr Whalen was so wonderful for both my kids, who are now in college. He is an amazing teacher.

Japhy Whalen is a remarkable educator! I had the great privilege of working with him at Schmitz Park for six years, and later he was a gracious and wise mentor while I completed my student teaching in his classroom. Schmitz Park’s loss is a gain for all new school teachers in the district. All the best to you Japhy! See you soon.

*@Mary Claire – hey there to you and family. Miss you and the kids!

I hope you all are able to stop by Schmitz Park next Wednesday the 15th and wish Mr. Whalen good luck and goodbye. I know he would love to see any former students and parents that could make it, even just for a few minutes.

Sorry, comment time is over.
