Going to the Sounders game on Saturday night (after West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day)? Just got word that the West Seattle Water Taxi is adding a late run to accommodate fans afterward – an 11 pm departure from Pier 50 to Seacrest.
This is great, but I’m a little confused – the schedule says the last departure from Pier 50 to WS is at 10:30, and then departing WS again at 11:00???
I’ll check with them tomorrow, but there are two possibilities:
One, the last run will just be half an hour later.
Two – they actually run the WT on a much tighter schedule during commute hours. It theoretically could run to Seacrest 10:30-10:45, then get back to Pier 50 in time to take off close to 11.
the water taxi’s current “out of service til further notice” issue will presumably throw a wrench in these plans unless it’s rectified in the next couple days. i am waiting for greater demonstrated reliability before i depend on the water taxi.
