West Seattle food news: Opening day for Pho Aroma

(Photos added 3:33 pm)
Just got word here from co-owner Melinda Nguyen that Pho Aroma (at Delridge/Findlay) is now officially open for business. Read more about Pho Aroma in our preview story from last month. ADDED 3:33 PM: Dropped by for a few photos. Owners Melinda (center with glasses) and Scott (to the left of Melinda) have lots of family members there to help and celebrate today!

ADDED 7:31 PM: Just noticed that the Delridge Grassroots Leadership website has a scan of the Pho Aroma menu!

Just came back from Aroma and we were completely satisfied and are happy to have a decent Pho restaurant in the neighborhood.
We had the combination soup that came with fresh sprouts, basil, pepper, and lime. It is nice to have a large piece of fresh lime. I am typically disappointed at other restaurants when I receive a dry, hard green rock. The broth was tasty, the meat was better than most and plentiful. We also had a fresh lime-aid, which was also very good.
We ordered two sandwiches to go $2.50 each which I am looking forward to having in a few hours. I did not see an option for a fried egg on the sandwich, which is always a nice extra protein but not always common. We were happy to see that there are many other items on the menu besides Pho, such as appetizers, salads, lettuce wrap, etc… and they cater too. I am looking forward to trying the crab asparagus soup.
Everything was priced as you would expect, similar to other restaurants, but the overall feeling here is classier then others. The internal decor is warm and inviting. The service is very friendly and Scott is a great host. You can tell he is very excited to be open and serving an area that has limited eateries. We are excited to have Pho Aroma here too and looking forward to our new regular Pho joint. Good Luck Scott and Melinda!!!
Oh, and if you do open early on Sat or Sun you will be sure to see us. Breakfast pho is our favorite.

Just got back – live two blocks away. DELICIOUS! Really delicious. Great prices, nice decor, hurried but friendly staff – I don’t know if they realized what they were in for, it was BUSY!

So glad to have them in the neighborhood. We will be back often. Hope it inspires others to open up a few more places to get tasty treats.

I did hear that there will be a taco truck opening up in Super 24’s parking lot. It was parked outside yesterday (although not open, and it wasn’t there today), and when I asked was told it would be there to serve food soon. Hope that is the case. Now if we could get a bakery/cafe and a Thai or Korean restaurant… ;-)

Had lunch there yesterday. Spring rolls, sandwich, vermicelli bowl, coffee, wonderful service. Everything was so tasty and the bill was soooo tiny! Can’t wait to go back and have pho (had a taste of the broth and it was excellent). Great addition to the neighborhood.

My husband and I came by for dinner last night and left completely satisfied. Everything tasted like my mother’s food and that is the highest compliment since she is a fantastic cook. We’ll come back!!

My new favorite restaurant. Can’t wait to frequent it often! The staff was so nice. The food was fresh and super high quality, and the prices were very reasonable. Couldn’t ask for a better combination!

Sorry, comment time is over.
