Sneak peek inside West Seattle Runner before Saturday opening

We first met Lori and Tim McConnell just two months ago (here’s the story), when they had just signed the lease for space to open a “specialty running store” in Charlestown Center (map), but didn’t even have a name for it. But now, their store West Seattle Runner is just about ready to be, well, off and running:

Tonight, they opened the doors for a sneak peek, as a test run for Saturday, their official grand opening.

They’re planning festivities 10 am-7 pm on Saturday (chair massages plus running coach and physical therapist on hand). And while you’re there – sign up for next month’s West Seattle 5K (with co-sponsors including WSB as well as WSR).

Just want all the future customers to know what incredible people you’ll be dealing with @ WSR. Tim and Lori are hard working, honest, dedicated and compassionate people. They give back to their community and are proud to live in West Seattle. They will always deal with you straight up. (And I’m not just saying that because they’re my brother and sister in law!) We’re so happy for you guys and know things will go off without a hitch this weekend. Love you, K, B, J & E

We want to thank you all for coming out today, your feedback and input and all the wonderful support while we were getting up and running. We are speechless, it is hard to express how wonderful it felt today, to be surrounded by runners, talking running and fitting runners in our WS community. What a place to live and do business, we are lucky and you are great!!
