Christopher Boffoli captured the beauty of downtown Seattle mirrored on the calm waters of Elliott Bay – maybe not for long, as rain is expected back soon.

Beautiful. If I could have just two clicks of your talent for every 100 shots I make……
No HDR on this one here is the data

That is absolutely stunning like a crown with a tons of jewels!
Thanks everyone.
.
Nice work clark5080. The EXIF data tells all. No HDR or any kind of manipulation. Just a tripod-mounted camera and the fact that Elliott Bay was as still as a mill pond last night.
I like that spot also but you got way calmer water and better reflections

beautiful photo !!!
did you know the water would be so calm when you set out to take the photo?
saw photo was taken at 8pm.
I wonder/ hope that the skyline was a little darker later. looking at that photo, just seems like there’s wasted electricity there somewhere.
Not to brag but WE do live in the prettiest city and this picture confirms it! Nice job to the photographer!!
Lovely….Love all the colors reflecting…Yes we have the prettiest city in America!
Gee, I didn’t realize that Elliott Bay tilted to the south like that.
Chris –
Thank you for sharing your art with us. I just put the shot on my laptop and it is glorious!
Glorious is the Seattle skyline. Not knowing how to level your camera is amateurish. Just because one drives a fast car doesn’t mean they are an engineer.
Irrelevant point anyway. While Christopher *is* a professional and we quite appreciate the work he’s done for WSB, both paid and pro bono, we publish photos not with any professional criteria – heaven knows your co-publishers are not particularly artistic and some days we put up a dozen or more pix of our own. We publish photos that are potentially interesting to some if not most WSB’ers, that are newsworthy, that tell or illustrate a West Seattle (in most cases) story. This ain’t the place for critiquing either photographic technique or writing style – lots and lots of sites out there where you can do that to your heart’s content.
Sorry, comment time is over.
