Margie texted to warn other downtown-bound West Seattleites that northbound 99 is backed up because of a crash. The live 911 log shows one unit on the scene of a crash in that area. 7:42 AM: She texted that 7 cars are involved, blocking the left lane, “looks like a chain reaction.” 8:12 AM: Via Facebook, Kim says, “First Ave is a fiasco, don’t come this way.” 9:22 AM: Oliver notes in comments that the crash scene is reported to now be clear.
1st Ave northbound appears to be down to one lane only b/c of construction…at least in front of Starbucks. Sounds like a tough commute this morning!
Man, yeah it’s a tough one today. Our bus is creeping along 99….it sure didn’t take long for summer traffic volumes to disappear did it? Back to the 9 month grind.
Great news…the crash is probably halfway cleared. It’s On the flat part before the incline approach before you reach SB HQ bldg. Free & clear & fast now!
On a 54 bus. The offramps to 1st and 99 are both backed up to about the Delridge onramp. Stay home if you can.
SDOT reports the accident is now cleared up.

also the rally at Westlake @ 6pm…the commute home on the bus should be hellious…
