Hi-Yu events today: Kids’ Fun Fest and Junior Court Coronation

Both at Hiawatha Community Center – the Fun Festival is scheduled noon-3, Junior Court Coronation at 1 pm.

any idea what’s going on at the fun festival? stuff for three & four year olds by any chance?

I hope somebody who knows will post a comment here. We haven’t covered it in years past (will be checking it out while we’re at the coronation) and most of my correspondence with the fine Hi-Yu folks has involved other events.

In years past there have been tons of fun game booths and prizes for children who win at the games. Although I did not attend last year, I’m pretty sure there are still many events for three or four year olds including entertainment on the main stage by musicians geared toward children music and different shows. It’s always a fun event, even for older children. There may be more information at hiyu.com

Thanks, Michelle. I checked that site first and there’s not any additional info or else I would have cited it – just a one-line listing for the event. Totally my bad for not asking organizers to provide more information so our listing would be more detailed. Will fix that for next year.
