Update: Accident at 35th and Juneau

35thjuneau.jpg

Not sure exactly how many vehicles were involved; debris scattered over a fairly wide range (note the foreground of above photo). Medics appeared to be helping at least one person. Obviously, stay away from the area TFN. 4:13 PM UPDATE: Tow truck is just now helping clear the scene; should be open again soon.

that’s my corner! well, i’m on the other side of the street. wow, an accident where i didn’t send in the pic this time. i didn’t have a clue about it and usually everybody at home would be so good to pass on the news. i guess that’s why we have the good folks at the WSB.

We thought of you immediately … hoped it wasn’t you in the crash … it’s very difficult to find out info about these things afterward, about all we can do is say “it happened, here’s what we’re seeing, here’s when the road’s opening.”

nope, it wasn’t me. i’ve seen so many collisions there. sometimes i kick myself for even thinking about making a left turn there and i do it anyway. i’ve had maybe a couple of near misses. yeah…that’s not good. it certainly wakes you up.

I actually go out on 34th to Morgan if I want to go south on 35th.

I’ve tried a left turn on Juneau when qeued against another oncoming left turn a couple of times, but I’ll never do it again. It’s not worth the risk of an accident.

Sorry, comment time is over.
