The Seattle City Council voted 5-3 to reverse the committee recommendation and keep the city’s Potential Annexation Area designation on North Highline. (Councilmember Richard McIver spoke in favor of keeping the PAA designation, but was out of the room when the final vote was taken.) The three Councilmembers opposed to considering North Highline annexation were Peter Steinbrueck, Jan Drago, and Tom Rasmussen.
