West Seattle Lost/Found Pets
Lost or found a pet? E-MAIL INFO/PHOTO TO: firstname.lastname@example.org – plain text with contact #, one JPG photo, no Word/PDF/etc. docs. PLEASE let us know when the situation is resolved, so we can remove the listing. Thanks!
RULES: Please only report “found” pets that are in your custody – if you see a “possible lost pet running around,” check to see if it is reported as lost. If it is, PLEASE contact the owner directly with your sighting – they might not see a comment soon enough. If the pet you found needs medical attention, please get that attention before asking us to post – the pet’s health/welfare matters most. Please do NOT submit a comment with an opinion of the pet, its owner, its circumstances, its breed OR a comment promoting someone who charges $ to search for pets – those will NOT be approved for publication.

This elderly beagle was brought in to Lien Animal Clinic this morning. He was found in someone’s fenced yard early this morning near Austin and 39th. Has been reported to Seattle Animal Control, they will be picking him up soon unless his owners contact us first. 206.932.1133. Thanks!
Sad story e-mailed by Meridith. But it needs to be told, in case someone is looking for one or both of the dogs involved, which is why we’re publishing it here on the Pets page:
We were coming back from Home Depot on Morgan and saw two cars pulled over and a loose German shepherd. We pulled over and noticed a black pug?,not sure on breed, that was lying in the road. I got out and spoke to the other two drivers. The first driver in line told me he witnessed the car in front of him hit the dog and drive off. He didn’t get the plate. The dog was dead, it was horrible. I cried, there was blood on the street. I called 911 and they called animal control. One of the drivers picked the dog up and put him on the side of the road. We think the German shepherd was its “sibling” and trying to help. It was beyond sad and whomever drove off should be ashamed of themselves. I hope there was a camera there to catch them.

We found a very friendly all black cat in our neighborhood. Seems to want company more than food. Meows a lot. No collar. I could not bring it inside as I have a sick cat. Are you missing a kitty or have one that likes to wander in the Delridge/Puget Ridge area? 17th & Webster -Erin email@example.com
