Welcoming a WSB sponsor: My Family Doctor, in West Seattle

When a sponsor joins WSB, we traditionally offer them the chance to let you know something about their business: Today we welcome My Family Doctor, Dr. Terrill Harrington, whose office is at 3623 SW Alaska [map] in the Triangle area. Dr. Harrington’s practice is truly for the whole family – children to adults. He’s ready to talk to you about your medical questions, and to provide care that’s open to everyone, regardless of age. Dr. Harrington is proud that some of the babies he’s delivered are still coming to him years later for their regular care. He says that can be attributed to how people feel about the care they receive from him. While there are many options out there, Dr. Harrington believes people want to come to a place that treats them with the respect and dignity they deserve. Dr. Harrington says he has worked for some of the largest medical providers in the area and while he practiced with people who were well-trained and intelligent, he says there’s no substitute for a neighborhood doctor who can provide personal attention, which even includes the occasional house call. Dr. Harrington has had a practice in West Seattle for the past several years; he has served as team doctor for the Seattle Lutheran High School football team, and has provided hearing tests and other medical screening for elementary and middle schools in West Seattle. My Family Doctor is ready to be your family doctor; you can call 206-362-8674, and find out more online at myfamilydoctorws.com. We welcome Dr. Terrill Harrington to the WSB sponsor team; the latest lineup is here along with information on how to join them!

We take our daughter to Dr. Harrington and have been very impressed with his kindness and attention to her. There is no rushing, we don’t feel like we’re just another parent on a list and he answers all of our questions with thoughtfulness and professionalism. I highly recommend him and have referred many people to him for a great overall family doctor.

We love, love, love Doctor Harrington. He truly is “My Family Doctor!” The whole family – wife, son and myself – have been seeing him for years. He has a great bedside manner with kids – he is absolutely fantastic with our six year old. As an adult, you can expect genuine warmth and an experienced and highly regarded physician who will never “talk down” to you. He’s also been fantastic about squeezing us in for last minute appointments and has actually taken care of my son one time even after office hours. I cannot rave about him enough. Sometimes while driving by his office, my son will ask if we can just stop by to say hello!

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Harrington for about 3 years. Our son was born a couple of weeks back and so we were in a position to decide if we would continue with him. It was an easy decision as we’ve felt that personal connection and have been more than satisfied with the level of care and attention to detail that we’ve received….Our family has added Dr. Harrington to the list of things we love about West Seattle.

I have known Dr. Harrington for more than two decades – he is both my friend and my physician. The glowing positive comments posted about his professionalism come as no surprise to me at all. Because of my personal relationship with Dr. Harrington I know why he went into family medicine – he did it to help people. His service to his patients in this community are not just his vocation…this is his dream. He considers it a privilege to be a trusted resource to his patients and to the West Seattle community.

I bring my family to see Dr Harrington. I would recommend his office to anyone who’s seeking a new family doctor. He has a beautiful little office tucked right here in West Seattle. On many occasions I’ve called and been worked in the same day. You never feel rushed. Dr. Harrington has the perfect bedside manner that is now days hard to find. He has a way of making you feel like your his only patient. I can’t say enough:)

Over four years ago, my husband and I randomly picked Dr. Harrington from a list of docs; we have since had many occasions to be grateful for our luck! After the birth of our son I suffered from complications and Dr. H actually came by the house to check on me. A couple of years later, we asked Dr. H to assist with the birth of our daughter. His office has always been able to get my family in for urgent care (once late at night for a violent allergic reaction) and are friendly and professional. We’ve recently moved to Vashon Island, but will keep Dr. H as our family doctor. His friendly, one-on-one care is worth the ferry ride many times over. Thanks, Doc!

As with one of the comments made earlier, we moved 140 miles from Seattle, but continue to see Dr. Harrington as our family physician. We feel his skill, compassion, integrity and cheerfulness is second to none. We too have had “after hours care” for medical care that for us was more convenient then urgent. When you are in his exam room you feel as though you are the only patient he has. Through the years he has become a trusted friend as well as physician. He is like the small town Physician of yesteryear, only right here in West Seattle. You are truly blessed to have him in your community.

Sorry, comment time is over.
