TIBBETTS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (WSB sponsor) (3940 41st SW):
Dec. 21: Longest Night/Blue Christmas service:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – or so goes the song. But for many the holidays, particularly Christmas are hard and there are not many places to go to acknowledge that you are not feeling so jolly without beling labeled a “hum bugger”. We understand this and each year, on the longest night of the year, we hold a service that acknowledges the grief and pain and loneliness and just out-of-sortsness that many of us feel this time of year. Whatever it is, you are welcome to come and join us for a time of music and prayers and readings and lighting candles. If this service would be meaningful to you, please come. If you know someone for whom this would be helpful, let them know about it, better yet invite them to come with you. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can not overcome it.

Dec. 24: Celtic Christmas Eve 8:00 pm
Complete with bagpipes, liturgy from Scotland, Ireland and Wales, carrying youngest child on lamb skin representing the Christ Child, and of course, candle lit service. A wonderful, meaningful, and unique way to welcome in Christmas and the babe of Bethlehem.

9 pm: Candlelight Service will include singing carols, beautiful music and special readings.

WEST SIDE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (3601 California SW):
Dec. 23: 8:15 am & 11 am: Christmas Sunday Worship
Dec. 23: 9:40 am Christmas Caroling for All Ages
Dec. 24: 5 pm Child/Family-Friendly Service – This service is short and interesting enough to keep the children’s attention, but all ages are welcome. The worship involves scripture, singing and story-telling, and gets everyone involved. It will keep us all focused on the real Christmas story.
Dec. 24: 11 pm-midnight Candlelight & Communion Service – we will have a traditional candlelight service that climaxes with a celebration of communion at midnight. We conclude by candlelight, joining our voices and our hearts in the singing of Silent Night, Holy Night

Again – if any church with Christmas services is missing or anything you see above is incorrect, please e-mail us so we can fix it ASAP! Thank you!
