Thanks, Mike. This story was just specifically mentioning Saturday – we do have some Sunday events on the calendar, churches in particular tend to pair egg hunts with their services – will make sure the one you mention is on the list. – TR

I hope the parents behave themselves at Thriftway. I loved taking my kids to that event when they were little, then it turned a little ugly once parents/adults starting hunting for the “golden eggs” (prizes) and turned the whole thing into a weird competitive vibe. I admit it’s been a few years so maybe it’s gotten better. I love Thriftway and they are a class act in so many ways – so please, parents, don’t ruin it!

Does anyone have first hand experience with attending the Hiawatha egg hunt? Just wondering if it would be a good fit for my preschooler and 10 year old. I’ve heard mixed reviews of other egg hunts.

Momoftwoboys- Hiawatha hut is great and has three different age group hunts. Also have a rabbit and special prize eggs. The hunt goes really quick so you could even go somewhere else after. We have gone here for 6 years and only had one bad year (two years ago Hiawatha was only center having egg hunt so way to many people showed up)

Sorry, comment time is over.
