Siren Song Wines: Welcoming a new West Seattle Blog sponsor

(8/14 note: To check whether a business is still a current WSB sponsor, please go here)

This morning we welcome West Seattle’s own Siren Song Wines as a new WSB sponsor. Here’s what winemaker Kevin Brown (at right, with Holly Brown) would like you to know about Siren Song – which is part of a special event at a local restaurant this Saturday:

Siren Song Wines is a boutique winery in West Seattle specializing in premium varietals and blends. We’ve won multiple awards including a gold medal for our 2009 “A Night in Madrid” at the 2012 Washington Wine Competition.

Our customers love the high quality and variety of wines that we make. For example, we made 7 wines in 2009, which is challenging for a small winery. They also love the advantages of our wine club.

We belong to the Seattle Urban Wineries group. We are partnered with many West Seattle restaurants including La Romanza, Phoenecia, Pizzeria 22, and Blackboard Bistro, as well as with Bin 41 and West Seattle Cellars.

Siren Song Wines is online at sirensongwines.com. They are also part of the Roast Pigapalooza event at Blackboard Bistro this Saturday:

This will be the party of the summer – one that you don’t want to miss! We will be roasting a whole pig, presenting various small plates, and sipping delicious wines. This will be very “West Seattle casual.” Chef Jacob Wiegner will be preparing this wonderful, imaginative dining experience. Kevin Brown of Siren Song Wines will be presenting a tasting of three wines from his 2009 vintage. Price: $30/person plus tax and gratuity. To purchase tickets, call (206) 257-4832.

We thank Siren Song Wines for sponsoring independent, community-collaborative neighborhood news via WSB; find our current sponsor team listed in directory format here, and find info on joining the team by going here.

Great wines all around! You just have to pick your favorite. Kevin is the winemaker and Holly the chef.
A match made on “earth”. Thank god otherwise we will not get to enjoy their talents!

West Seattle is so lucky to have Siren Songs in their neighborhood! All their wines are fabulous, and I’m particularly fond of “A Night in Madrid.” My recommendation–go to the sirensongs.com and get yourself some wine!

We have had the pleasure of working with both Kevin and Siren Song Wines, and Holly’s Brown Lounge Food Blog. To the point, Kevin’s wines are STELLAR! When I first tried them I was blown away by Kevin’s ability to create depth, richness and still be true to the grapes he develops. We had the pleasure of featuring Siren Song Wines for our Spring Wine dinner and it was a smash sold out success both because of his amazing wines and his ability to make my guests at ease. Kevin and Holly both have a zeal and zest for life that is contagious and welcoming and it shines through their creative endeavors. West Seattle is blessed to have Siren Song in our Neighborhood! We feature all of Kevin’s current vintages and look forward to a long relationship with both Holly’s exceptional Brown Lounge blog and Siren Song Wines. Hot TIP: Keep a look out for the next Zinfadel vintage. I was lucky to have a barrel tasting of it and it is outrageously good!! -Aimee Pellegrini, La Romanza Bistro

Siren Song wines are the perfect complement to great food and great company, the other two components of the Brown Lounge promise (www.thebrownlounge.com). I’ve enjoyed several glasses of these wonderful wines–so much so that I couldn’t pick a favorite, but look forward to continued and extensive sampling so I can, ahem, pick one?! Holly and Kevin approach food and wine with passion, expertise, and great style–salud!!

Just thinking of their Auberge made me fetch a glass, which I’m drinking right now — it’s my new favorite. Keep up the good work

As a Siren Song Wine Club member, my wife Kari and I look forward to every shipment! Kevin’s wines are terrific…I love the Zinfandel, A Night in Madrid and the Adagio. I have never been a big lover of Chardonnay, but Kevin’s has made me a convert! Keep up the good work, Kevin!

The Siren Song wines are fantastic. If you have not tasted one of their wonderful wines I encourage you to do so. The Zinfandel is off the charts good.

We went out to dinner for pasta at Angelinas and came home for a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. We said, “why not open that bottle of Siren Song with dessert?” OMG it was awesome. I think it was the Night in Madrid. Fantastic with chocolate! Wow! What a finish!
