Ramp-closure update: Lower Spokane St. section NOT reopening

Just got an update from SDOT – they did NOT reopen lower Spokane Street eastbound from East Marginal to 1st Avenue South today after all, because of “electrical problems.” (The aforementioned ramp closure did happen on schedule, though.) More to come.

  1. I saw that the signs were down this morning, but I had turned onto marginal already so I didn’t drive through. I will try tomorrow. I was also happy to see police guiding traffic on the west side of the low bridge Monday evening. There was a noticable increase in the amount of cars using the low bridge. I can’t wait to see what it is going to be like when the bridge opens at 5:05 pm….
