Happening now: Two sales – Pigeon Point glass, Rat City Rummage

Thanks to Sally for the tip that the Lagarto Glass studio in Pigeon Point (1904 SW Dawson; map) is having a sale today to clear out the garage studio and switch to work-at-home mode. Get there as soon as you can – they’re just going till it’s gone. Meantime, we’ve also stopped by the first-ever Rat City Rummage at the old White Center skating rink – good turnout of sellers and shoppers:

  2. Just got back from the Rat City Rummage…interesting, but not really a rummage sale. More like a craft show of local artists, at least that’s what 90% of the booths were. I was expecting (and so were a few other people I talked to there) a more garage sale like experience. Not a used chainsaw in sight there (that’s what I was shopping for). Still, good to see so much creativity coming out of White Center.

  4. TR … Hopefully the glass studio will know of YOU now and get you info to send out sooner … am sure others would have loved to go had they known in advance .. (How could ANYONE around here not know of WSB???!!!)

Actually turns out the glass art folks were among the participants in West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day last year, we realized … so they did know about WSB … but sometimes people still don’t make the connection, hey, send us stuff in advance and we’ll tell the (West Seattle) world … so we really appreciate hearing from everyone who sees signs posted, hears about stuff, even if they THINK we probably know about it … :)
