Pointlessness at the Polls, T minus 6 days

Official WS Herald editorial position: Yes on replacement-a-duct.

Bruce Ramsey says we should just be happy we GET TO vote!

-What life supposedly would be like during construction.

-No Tunnel Alliance plots a “We (Heart) the Viaduct” rally for Election Eve.

Another tunnel opponent writes the Herald, dubbing Hizzoner “Gridlock Greg.”

-As for Hizzoner himself, he’s talking cops today, not the t-word.

KUOW had a program focused on the vote this afternoon:

    http://www.kuow.org/programs/theconversation.asp

“Seattleites must mail their ballots by next Tuesday to express an opinion on how to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Have you already voted? Really? How? And why? Are you still undecided? The peculiar vote has separate ballots for a four lane tunnel and a new viaduct. So the results could be yes – yes, yes – no, no – yes, or no – no. Or you could send in a blank ballot. We’ll hear why the Municipal League recommends spending 39 cents to express no preference. The muddle of replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct verges on dysfunction. How can we avoid replaying this fiasco in deciding how to replace the 520 bridge?”

Sorry, comment time is over.
