metrognomeParticipantbtw, as you didn’t provide the quote to which you are no doubt referring …
‘”Romney wants to — he said in the first 100 days he’s going to once again let the big banks once again write the rules,” Vice President Joe Biden told teh crowd at the Danville event. “Unchain Wall Street. He’s going to put you all back in chains.”‘

JVMemberThanks gnome, lest anybody think I took it out of context!
Race-baiting comments are better in a video clip so you can hear his attempt to use an accent and speak down to the crowd. Offensive on so many levels.

kootchmanMemberwhat other options to they have? Chest thump about Obamacare? Nope that won’t work. Crow about their stunning employment gains? Celebrate the lowered health care costs?, The pro growth policy of a GDP that is rising slower than the population? Cutting the deficit by 50% in his first term? Gutting medicare to the tune of 714 billion?… Race and class baiting is the best they got. Romney is getting better and better looking, day by day… when you see panic you see a defeated enemy… they are singing to their base and the R n’ R team is going about the job of picking up the independents that are listening for cogent plans to pick us up…. it ain’t coming from Obama or Biden. I guess those occupy kids want jobs after all… if he gets 30% that actually vote… Obama is done.

metrognomeParticipantJV — When you start apologizing for GOP Commander-in-Chief and paid spokesmodel Rush Limbaugh, I’ll consider Biden’s alleged sins.
Funny how loudly the Republicans scream about things like this when they are saying something egregious out the other side of their mouth … or dusting off old pit bulls like Cheney or Sununu to do it.
August 16, 2012 at 2:21 am #767203
EdSaneParticipantI enjoyed Biden’s latest comments. This is politics. Besides, lets not forget how Republicans plan to win the election in November through voter suppression. Unchaining wall street while disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of potential voters.

kootchmanMemberSpent a lot of money and created thousands of political appointee slots for campaign donors. So that is 193 reasons he created the fastest growing deficits in human history!? Run on it … yea.. I see those women appointees… especially that fine staff over at Homeland Security…. and HHS.. saved 6500 lives with boiler legislation… too funny… used the same number making machine for green jobs created? That should carry Texas. When does the chief performance officer start? Lowered Medicare costs ..,, cause doctors aren’t taking new patients! Good one.

JoBParticipantAugust 16, 2012 at 4:25 am #767206
elikapekaParticipantOh, I’ll do you one better, JoB. I love Joe Biden! Nothing to apologize for. He’s got a good heart and I don’t think what he said was offensive at all. The righties are sure in a panic, they’re flying off the handle all over the place at the least little things.
BTW, if you want to see some good journalism, check out Soledad O’Brien interviewing Sununu. Thought his head would explode.

JanSParticipantI’m from Danville…and I, too, love Joe Biden. Always have. He’s a foreign policy wonderkind. Repubs are once again making something that simply isn’t there, as far as I’m concerned.
August 16, 2012 at 4:39 am #767208
JanSParticipantJohn Sununu is an ass…mebbe he just needs to go sell insurance..
August 16, 2012 at 4:42 am #767209
JanSParticipantFor the record…doctors ARE taking new Medicare patients…if you want, I’ll name a few docs that I have recently picked up who are. And they are top of the line in their fields here in Seattle….Hematology/oncology specialists…cardiac surgeons….

dhgParticipantWell when Mitt introduced us to “The Next President of the United States Paul Ryan” I shot milk out of my nose. Seriously JV, you’re going to vote for Thurston Howell III for President? His lovely wife, Luvey, now tells us that everything they’ve done, tax-wise, is legal although she doesn’t know what they’ve done, tax-wise, cause it’s all a blind trust, but it’s transparent but we can’t see it because it would be ammunition. This is what you support?
Meanwhile, Republicons in Ohio try more tricks to SUPPRESS VOTING: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/15/opinion/overt-discrimination-in-ohio.html?_r=2&hp

elikapekaParticipantKootchman – OMG, campaign donors got top political appointments? I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked! Gee, that’s never happened before. Yawn.
You need some new material – here’s some perspective for you on the horrible deficit spending.

August 16, 2012 at 5:00 am #767212
JVMemberJan/Job, glad to hear you say it! We agree that we think Joe should stay! Just for different reasons.
Nobody over here is in a panic, I want more Joe events! Like the daily Joe Report…he is the gift that keeps on giving!
August 16, 2012 at 5:12 am #767213
JVMemberAs for the merit of his comments about “puttin’ y’all back in chains” I’d love to hear a defense of that statement.
All part of the great uniter’s divide-and-pander strategy.
I’m happy to let sensible moderate/independents look at this type of garbage and decide for themselves.
DBP what say you? I’m holding out hope that you are going to come around by November! (others on this blog are beyond help)
August 16, 2012 at 5:16 am #767214
JVMemberDhg, that’s all you’ve got? Kinda pathetic don’t you think?
Don’t forget the dog on the roof story…that’ll trick ’em into talking about something besides unemployment!!
August 16, 2012 at 5:32 am #767215
dhgParticipantJV: Did you want issues? I thought you were looking for comments that could be taken wrong. Biden is a great man who has walked the walk and he’s here to defend the middle class. What great things has Mitt done or aspires to do? Other then, you know, it takes a pillage….
August 16, 2012 at 6:44 am #767216
kootchmanMemberJV.. we were decided voters a year ago. what counts now… is, can Romney and Ryan appeal to half the undecideds.. who are there because they are waiting for a reason to vote. Obama and Biden aren;t giving it to them. Obama is tanking with the 18 to 35 year old vote… if they are a no show it’s a no go for Obama. He has gained 15 percentage points… jobs, jobs, jobs… they voted with their college indoctrination disposition… after living in the basement with mommy and daddy for four years.. I am thinking the least they want is a studio apartment, some cash to pay off some loans, buy a car, … now they know Obama has no plans or way to get there…. new republican forged in the crucible … no jobs and no prospects of jobs. zThey aspire to more than daylight basement living and marginal subsistance.
