JoBParticipantkootch…
my statement is correct…
but i am not surprised that an “insider” has a different view of “statistical irrelevancy” than someone who nearly died from “side effects” that were NOT disclosed by the drug company.
“Non-significant” side effects that kill are one of the reasons that big pharma funds efforts at “tort reform”.

kootchmanMemberJoB… not 10 feet away from me… is a clinical trials project manager hard at work…. been doing it for 30 years… an absolute, certified, true expert on clinical trials and FDA drug protocols. There is no risk free drug. There are deaths from aspirin. FYI Romney leads Obama nationally even in Quinnipac polls… and has closed four the lead to dead even in foru battleground states. Survey has Republican “very motivated” by a 59 per cent margin, Obama 32%

JoBParticipantkootch..
i have no doubt a clinical trials project manager has a different view of clinical trials than participants and end users do
i know there is no risk free drug
i also know that not all risks are disclosed
thus the huge settlements awarded

TanDLParticipantRomney may lead nationally in your favorite poll but not in all polls – google it! Again you spout nonsense and generalities based on your own bias and it’s not true. Here’s a sampling of a lot of national polls that show the general trend towards Obama. Makes me wonder if you’re not one of those prolific right wing writers drawing a paycheck to try and influence blogs.

so.. just for you

kootchmanMemberpolitico? ha ha ha .. yea sure. Use Rasmussen…. far more accurate…
Picked up five percentage points in Ohio
Rasmussen Reports’ latest look at the presidential race in Ohio shows President Obama and Mitt Romney running dead even at 45% each.
Ryan will help.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of Ryan, while 32% view him unfavorably
Just prior to being picked as Romney’s running mate, only 39% viewed Ryan favorably, while 25% held an unfavorable opinion of him.
Seems the electorate is ready for principals and straight talk…. not ads attacking Romney 7 years after he left Bain… the one that every Democrat tried to walk back.. and has hugh negative ratings..
I like the new Romney line… destroy and break apart any cohesion of the national fabric and try to put 51% of the pieces together. Does it fit or what? Romney PACS picked up 32 million since Paul Ryan was nominated… here comes the TEA Party!!!!!!
Ancd that centrist undecideds?
A bare majority of voters still considers Mitt Romney in the political mainstream, while the number who think President Obama’s views are extreme has edged up for the second month in a row. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters describe the political views of the presumptive Republican presidential candidate as mainstream.
47% Consider Obama’s Political Views Extreme, 31% Say Same of Romney
Hearts and minds…
August 15, 2012 at 10:00 am #762551
kootchmanMemberBut since this is an ACA thread…. I haven’t heard either The Messiah or Fumblin’ Joe mention the ACA once… how come JoB.. it’s his crowning achievement… think Obama reads Rasmussen polls too?
Most voters still want to see President Obama’s health care law repealed, and a plurality believes repeal would be good for the economy.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of Likely U.S. Voters favor repeal of the national health care law, while 38% are opposed. This includes 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 29% who Strongly Oppose it. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

JoBParticipantKootch..
i am thinking you think Rasmussen is more reliable because you like their results better..
but you do realize that they have chosen a different business model for their polling don’t you?
instead of polling all adults, they poll “likely voters” .. whatever that means.
it must be a trade secret because i didn’t find a definition on their site..
the one hint is that owner’s statement that kids are less likely to vote…
they also do robocall polling..
the one poll nearly everyone i know hangs up on…
but i guess the assumption is that if we won’t spend out time with a robocall we aren’t likely voters either..
and then there are the questions
I will admit they are far more subtle than have you stopped beating your wife.. but …
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasmussen_Reports
i thought you might like publico so you can peek under the hood and see how the other half lives..
did i say half? LOL..
we are far more than half.
but i wouldn’t let that bother you
those kids and women and elderly won’t go to the polls..
especially if you make it difficult for them by dropping their registrations and making it difficult for them to re-register
you keep on believing that
it must be tough for a guy with faith in the dollar to comprehend faith in people…
but old hippy that i am… i have seen this before…
and it worked

miwsParticipantAugust 15, 2012 at 5:54 pm #762555
kootchmanMemberYea, miws… but gosh darn it.. everyone seems to want some. Actually TanDL…. I have a tracking app… that takes 36 different polls… compares their prognostications in previous survey results… and Rasmussen is in the top 5 in accuracy. Methodology is everything in sampling. Ah.. JoB … you aren’t half…. and you can be a demographic multiple. Survey says……. momentum is moving towards the republican ticker… Ryan now has placed actual issues on the table.. the last thing Obama wanted.. hell, he’s back to talking about dog carriers! The stunning number is only 14% of seniors knew Obama raided their Medicaid trust fund of 700 billion.. now it’s up to 48 per cent and they want to know why and what for….. Obama is going to have to defend ACA…. and Ryan is going to win with the data. The Democrats are starting to look frayed and in panic mode. See, at the end of it all.. most voters are centrist… and even mainstream media outlets are starting to realize their relevance is being questioned. They are still in the tank for him… but they are acutely aware they are losing viewers.

kootchmanMemberWow…. the sainted, anointed, Obama gets the heave ho from Newsweek? Now there is a surprise… or maybe it was the results of the top 13 sweeps by Fox news… of viewers. Not two weeks ago the headline genuflecting Newsweek was all in the tank.. now this? The cover headline… “Obama Must Go”…. guess Mitch McConnok i no longer alone. It’s a good read… when you ask how do conservatives think so differently than liberals.

August 20, 2012 at 11:36 am #762560
kootchmanMemberPlatitudes JoB… first we need to have faith in a functioning economy…. noto a President who calculates that Obamacare will add 21 million healthcare workers to the SEIU .. 21 bilion to union coffers. I want to hear how… by the Presidents own budget how we can carry a debt of 23 trillion…. whose interest expense will be larger then the entire HHS budget? where is that money going to come from in an economy that can’r even grow fast enough ti keep pace with inflation? Taxes? hah ha hah .
August 20, 2012 at 1:49 pm #762561
miwsParticipantWow…. the sainted, anointed, Obama gets the heave ho from Newsweek?

Haw Haw Haw Haw!
Yeah, the old heave-ho alright!
From an admittedly conservative contributor to Newsweek…..

miwsParticipantOh, and I believe I’ve kinda touched on this before,
but can I get a show of hands of fellow libs who really like/like/at least plan on voting for Obama, that think he’s the Messiah?
Mmmmm Hmm!
Just what I figured.
Nary a hand.
Always nice to see that insinuation though, from someone who thought that Reagan was the “Great One”.
And I mention that not because it’s Reagan in particular, but because of the idolatry that the poster has for him, while snarkily assuming that we all worship Obama….
August 20, 2012 at 4:45 pm #762563
JoBParticipantkootch..
platitudes? that’s rich..
at least i’m not supporting candidates stupid enough to say things like pregnancy can’t occur from valid rape…
is that the new teahat standard? if you get pregnant it wasn’t rape?
or how about the idiots who say more guns are the answer to the recent mass shootings? Loudly thumping their chests while stating that if they had been there with their gun…
LOL.. those teahats would have been the first to dive for cover under the seats.. pulling someone else’s body over them
or how about the guy who said that accommodating black voters is wrong? another teahat.
I’ll take platitudes from my candidates any day over pure racism, sexism and idiocy.
You seem to think that most Americans can be bought kootch…
i am more of a Will Rogers kind of woman myself.
there isn’t enough money to counteract the material the teahats are giving comedians these days ;)

kootchmanMemberOne individual making a stupid ass statement.. does mot a movement make… the people crapping on the stairs of a pubic office are nto the entirety of the occupy movement.. or the old, bitter, hag who spit it the face of a Romeny supporter is not all Democrats. Bet those Syrians wish they had gun rights now! Should we know ban the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate/terrorist group?
August 21, 2012 at 3:15 pm #762565
JoBParticipantkootch..
the republican party platform was just released.
their abortion policy makes no exception for rape.
painting Akin as one individual making a stupid ass statement might be politically wise, but his was simply the last in a long line of truly stupid justifications for an unwise agenda.
he’s yours. own him.
August 22, 2012 at 4:52 am #762566
kootchmanMemberIf he is ours “own him” you can own some of the dumbest asses that ever sat in congress.. we did not “own” him. He was asked to step down.. show the same fortitude and ask Obama to do the same… or Biden, of Maxine Waters, or tax dodging .. illiegally, Charlie Rangel .. et al… of my favorite of all time … that wild eyed moron CYnthia McKinney… remember her? He may have cost us the super majority we needed to FINALLY get a budget… you should be rejoicing, Put a balanced budget in the Democratic plank… and the guts to follow through! I don’t gave a rats ass on abortion, contraception, other than as an intrusion on a constitutional right. I want jobs…. and a growing economy.. what we have needed for the last four years and a national priority and have not gotten. A 4% unemployment rate would go a lot farther to empty out N”ville…
August 22, 2012 at 10:28 am #762567
HMC RichParticipantAnthony Weiner. I said weiner. Huh huh, huh (in my best Beavis and Butthead snicker.)
And in the Press Conference that THE MOST TRANSPARENT PRESIDENT EVER!!! had for the first time since March, he said nobody called Romney a felon.
What an outright LIE. http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/cutter-romney-a-liar-potential-criminal
Now it is possible that Obama did not know they said this, uh huh, and has plausible deniability.
Don’t ya love Politics.
August 22, 2012 at 12:20 pm #762568
kootchmanMemberWell JoB.. since you aren’t a registered voter of Missouri… I guess you don’t even have to worry about it. I would have preferred he dropped out… but won’t that tell you something if by miracle he is elected? Even a “moderate” democrate has become repugnant to the voters of Missouri. Now THAT would be telling indeed… will Rogers would laugh at you.. he hated and distrusted government as much as the rest of middle America.. you run to them for the skirts of a big nanny with preferable someone to tax other than yourself.
Will Rogers:
Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate; now what’s going to happen to us with both a Senate and a House?
On account of being a democracy and run by the people, we are the only nation in the world that has to keep a government four years, no matter what it does.
Our constitution protects aliens, drunks and U.S. Senators.
There ought to be one day– just one– when there is open season on senators.
That’s the trouble with a politician’s life-somebody is always interrupting it with an election.
“Never blame a legislative body for not doing something. When they do nothing, that don’t hurt anybody. When they do something is when they become dangerous.”
“The budget is a mythical bean bag. Congress votes mythical beans into it, and then tries to reach in and pull real beans out.”
“If you make any money, the government shoves you in the creek once a year with it in your pockets, and all that don’t get wet you can keep.”
“The only difference between death and taxes is that death doesn’t get worse every time Congress meets.”
“I don’t want to complain, but every time they build a tax structure, the first thing they nail is me.”
