KMMMemberI’m looking for a wedding shower location to hold about 40 people….a place we can cater (kitchen would be nice) ourselves. Trying to avoid big school halls. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

sohonyusaMemberKMM,
Try the West Seattle Eagles. The hall can hold about 100 and they have a full commercial kitchen. There are a few pictures of the hall on the website at westseattleeagles.org.

CarolPBMemberMy daughter had her baby shower at Delridge Community Center-maybe too big for 40-but it was nice and had a kitchen. They rented it on a Sunday afternoon when not open to the public,

villagegreenMemberThe Georgetown Ballroom (try a search on Google) is amazing. It can hold quite a few more than 40 people, but you may want to give it a look. It’s definitely a hidden gem with a beautiful old-school ballroom feel.

bebecatMemberThe Island View Apts. across the street from West Seattle High School has a nice room with kitchen. It is a Seattle Housing Authority facility and you need to check with the manager of the bldg. When I rented it about 2 yrs ago it was $300. But if you know someone who lives there they can sponser you and it is free.

herongrrrlParticipantMost of the parks and rec community centers have rooms you can rent, some with kitchen facilities. You can look online to see the different room capacities so you won’t wind up with a room that’s way too big. Rates for flat room rental are really reasonable, sometimes a kitchen fee is extra.

TammiWSMemberMaybe this location might have what you’re looking for?

KMMMemberThanks everyone for the great suggestions. There are several places I did not know existed and a few others I had forgotten about. Right now, Camp Long (kitchen) is looking like a great choice with Alki Bathhouse (no kitchen) coming in as a close second. Curiosity still on the Georgetown location… I have a call into them after I drove by. WOW, I didn’t know about the Youngstown brick on Delridge. If I had the moola, Sanctuary at Admiral would be my choice.
f any other ideas pop into your heads, please let me know. With all the beautiful view homes in West Seattle, wouldn’t that be a great option for parties.

this is a bed & breakfast near on 45th just south of the junction. I haven’t been there but heard it is beautiful. Maybe they have space – they do have a view.

celeste17ParticipantI have been to the Villa Heildelberg. I went to a Wedding there about 20 years ago. It was set up as a house with a beautiful front and side yard. Very pretty and relaxing. I think it has a full front veranda.
