BonnieParticipantDid anybody see the article in the Seattle Times?
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/weather/2004463516_weather07m.html
So instead of complaining (which I feel like doing) let’s think of some pluses..
Less people will want to move to Seattle.
If less people move to Seattle we will have less traffic.
If we have less people in Seattle I might be able to find a parking spot when I go to the Junction.

RasmusMemberBut if the sun was shining, you could ride a bike or even walk. Wouldn’t that be nice?
June 7, 2008 at 6:51 pm #626901
JanSParticipantno brown grass :)
June 7, 2008 at 6:56 pm #626902
ToddinWestwoodMemberwell, its been so cool, that the grass has stopped growing or slowed down enough that I have no had to mow for two weeks.
June 7, 2008 at 7:00 pm #626903
JanSParticipantlol..Todd…another plus…
June 7, 2008 at 7:02 pm #626904
GinaParticipantIce cream melts more slowly.
June 7, 2008 at 7:09 pm #626905
AdmiralJanewayParticipantIt’s a great day for a marathon. The finish line for today’s Green River Marathon is in front of the Alki Bathhouse. Kent to Alki, whew!
June 7, 2008 at 8:22 pm #626906
JeannieParticipantIt’s 98 degrees in Baltimore, where my mom lives Then again, it would be nice to experience a happy medium.
June 7, 2008 at 10:08 pm #626907
JimmyGMemberLove this weather, if it could be like this year round I’d be a happy camper. So you won’t hear me complaining about the current weather.
June 7, 2008 at 11:30 pm #626908
CMPParticipantThere are probably fewer people swimming at Colman Pool, but that’s just speculation on my part. Too cold for me so I went to Southwest to swim instead! Maybe tomorrow if the sun comes out.
June 7, 2008 at 11:44 pm #626909
charlabobParticipantTodd, I clearly live in the wrong part of town–whatever it is that grows in my tiny patch of “grass” loves the cool wet weather. I may have to put on waders and mow tomorrow.
We’re saving immense amounts of $ on sunscreen–I get another few weeks of wearing my fall/winter sweaters (which I love). I’m about to make a pot of fall soup (my last –I*swear* of the season).
There, I feel better already.
June 8, 2008 at 12:14 am #626910
ToddinWestwoodMemberI rode my motorcycle thursday evening. I had to put on wool socks, long johns and rain pants.
hmmm, positive spin…Only 6 more months till XMAS!
June 8, 2008 at 1:56 am #626911
BonnieParticipantWe will look younger than our friends on the east coast or who live in California because we won’t get the sun damage. ‘What? You’re almost 40? Really?’ LOL!
I won’t have to shave my legs this summer.
June 8, 2008 at 4:20 am #626912
JanSParticipantBonnie…hahahahaha on the legs :D
June 8, 2008 at 5:12 am #626913
celeste17ParticipantNo crowds at Alki. No Sunburns.
June 8, 2008 at 9:15 pm #626914
JillParticipantTo add to Todd’s grass comment, the *dandelions* are also slowed, so I might have a shot at getting them under control this year!
More:
* Peas and greens like to grow in cooler weather, and gardening is more pleasant in general.
* No watering!
* I can wear all of the things I’ve just taught myself how to knit (and keep knitting more).
* Fewer people crowding my beach running routes.
Alright, hopefully I’m convincing someone, cos I sure ain’t convincing me with all this hot air. :)
June 8, 2008 at 9:52 pm #626915
SueParticipantIt took a while to come up with a pro: I haven’t had to water my veggie container garden in a week!
June 8, 2008 at 9:54 pm #626916
BonnieParticipantI won’t have to freak out when I can’t find my sunglasses this summer.
June 9, 2008 at 7:42 pm #626917
DSV90Member– I’m more inspired to cook since I spend more time reading my cookbooks.
– It’s easier to add another layer to stay warm outdoors than struggle to stay cool in sweltering heat
June 10, 2008 at 1:41 am #626918
TheVelvetBulldogMemberUmmm, it’s encouraging me to schedule that trip to New Mexico I’ve always wanted to take??? :-)
June 10, 2008 at 2:50 am #626919
ShibaguyzMemberOur salad greens, spinach and peas are growing like CRAZY in this “spring weather.” We haven’t had to water our garden AT ALL in over a week. We even collected enough water to water the plants that are under cover.
We like cooler weather too… but we’re with VBD and started looking for a warm place for vacation. LOL
June 10, 2008 at 3:06 am #626920
AnonymousInactiveUm…I won’t have to trim my wisteria since the wind just broke it…
June 10, 2008 at 3:28 am #626921
inactiveMemberHey –
How about:
I’ve got more time to once and for all lose those few extra pounds for summer shorts!!!
pfft. right.
