westcoastdebParticipantI am looking for a good organization to volunteer with around West Seattle. Love animals, willing to tollerate people. I’m not the most physical person. Can do 3 hours a week or so, and cant be weekends. Anyone have any suggestions? Would also be great if this place was open sometime after 7 at night, so I could do more than just my day off at work.

inactiveMemberAnimal lover, eh?
Wouldn’t have to leave home:

This would likely be more on-call and requires training, which is periodically offered through out the year.

And, last but not least and not animal related:

Just a few quickie ideas. Thanks for wanting to make WS mo’ betta’ :)

MargLMemberNot sure if Westside Baby has regular evening volunteer hours but sometimes they have take-home projects like sorting bins of sippy cups.
Very worthwhile organization I’ve done some volunteer work for.

hammerheadParticipantFriends of Animals Foundation is looking for some help at Next to Nature for the cats up for adoption. Cleaning litter boxes and spending time with them. No more than 3 hrs easy walk or bus ride.

westcoastdebParticipantwell darned it Pam, why didnt you just tell me! You know I’m willing to help you out — or anything related to you! I cant do a 5-7 shift since I dont get off work till 730. :(. I cant foster, so thats out. Will look into westside baby and the FAF.
