Hi, everyone! In honor of the inauguration and Obama’s call for service, I’d like to start doing my small part by volunteering a couple of hours this week to help a fellow West Seattleite. I’m available anytime after 1 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week to walk your dog (Lincoln Park or Alki Beach – fun!), babysit your infant or toddler, or run a couple of errands for you if you are harried or housebound. I’d prefer the Gatewood, Lincoln Park, Admiral, or Alki areas. So if you have a real need for a little help this week, just email me. Thanks!

    Jeannie,

I have a Himalayan blackberry infestation on the south side of my house that I am dealing with as enthusiasm permits.

You are welcome to have a go at it.

Edited to remove troll food — I violated my own rule. Jeannie, it’s a wonderful offer and I hope your PMs runneth over. It’s the definition of generous service here at home.

    jeannie,

if you don’t get a PM response.. local senior centers can always use a volunteer for a couple of hours…

if nothing else, drop in and chat.
